Vieux Carré

10 mL Benedictine
22.5 mL sweet vermouth
22.5 mL whiskey (rye or Bourbon)
22.5 mL brandy (Cognac if u so fancy)
2 dash Peychaud’s bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
  1. Stir all ingredients with ice.
  2. Strain into an old fashioned glass (or a Nick and Nora or a cocktail or whatever ol’ glass).
  3. Garnish with a lemon peel
